The CONTROL Program
The CONTROL Program will provide healthcare professionals with vital information that can help improve clinical outcomes and the quality of life for patients suffering from hypothyroidism who are taking levothyroxine. The program currently includes:
- The CONTROL Surveillance Project
- CONTROL HE (Health Economics)
- The CONTROL Registry
Levothyroxine is one of the most commonly-used drugs in the United States with over 115 million prescriptions dispensed in 2013¹. Drug malabsorption, lack of drug tolerability, frequent dose changes and other issues are commonly observed with levothyroxine. These have been well documented in the scientific literature. The CONTROL Program is designed to provide real world evidence of the prevalence, costs and clinical outcomes resulting from factors that adversely affect levothyroxine.
